BACKGROUND
Chevrolet made the C2 corvette to be a step into the new age in performance and style from its predecessor. It was duped the Sting Ray by Chevrolet
the C2(63-67) was the first corvette to feature independent rear suspension which was a major upgrade in motorsports. It was also offered with big block v8s allowing for more power.
MODIFICATIONS
This Corvette is fitted with a big block 454 Chevrolet engine. The 454 was and is a very popular motor. It makes a lot of low-end instant torque and is very reliable making it a great powerplant for this application.
The chassis and suspension is stock for the most part which gives an original experience and a fun challenge.
DRIVING
This car is set up specifically to create better drivers. It is on a lower grip, treaded tire. This creates a unique challenge requiring the driver to determine the limits and drive accordingly rather than relying on the car being overspecced for the application.
The 454 give the car lots of power throughout the rpm range. This gives a much simpler driving experience. the driver for the most part can leave it in a single gear and do a lap. This allows our driver to focus on things like grip and smoothness over how and when to shift. It still has plenty of power to light up the tires when needed as well.5t
